1.3.0 Release

on October 5, 2020 • Back to Blog index

We just published a new Release. 1.3.0 is here with some great new features and some fixes. Why 1.3.0 ? Mainly because we had to make changes to the datamodel. The upgrade process takes care of this therefore it is still automated. We also added a framework to handle API integrations. This is a new set of features which will extend the capabilities of Ganister.

What's new in 1.3.0

In our previous version we enabled the scripting capability to automate advanced upgrades which would impact the datamodel of your implementation and the database. In version 1.3.0 we actually enhanced it to be easier to update and we actually have 3 major scripts in this version. That is a great test for us which we already validated with two customers before we publicly released this version.

Ganister Server

We enabled API integrations. A few API are already available like Github, Element14 and IHS. Let us know which integration you want and we will look into it.

The Bill Of Material instantiation process has been made much more flexible. You can now create instances of BOM of any kind (service, physical,…)

Ganister UI

To help support, by hovering Ganister logo or your custom logo you will get the last commit date and commit ID. It helps us know which version you are working on.

You can now display any information of a related node on a form. For example your supplier's part form can contain suppliers information. No code needed, just configuration.

We have added a node and relationship counter in the heath report menu in order to give you a better understanding of the evolution of your graph database.

API integrations are fully managed with simple configuration. No code needed !

Ganister Delivery

We have added load testing when shipping our solution. We then make sure that there is not a change that impacts load performances.

In the previous version we had to send to some of you the dataloader template because it was not shipped with Ganister. We fixed it and you can now run npm run dataLoader to generate your own data loading MS Excel template.

If you are registered as a partner you can have access to the list of changes on our secure portal.

Looking forward to the next releases

It will take a few month before we publish our roadmap. We communicate it in most of our meetings and we are designing a webpage to nicely display what is coming in next releases of Ganister.
